A man has been arrested in Derry after police seized suspected Class A and B drugs during an early morning search. Officers found the substances, along with drug-related paraphernalia and electronic items, at an address in the cityside area.

Police responded to a call at around 7.10am, with local response and neighbourhood teams from Ballyarnett carrying out the operation. The man was detained on suspicion of multiple offences, including possession of Class A and B controlled drugs and being concerned in the supply of both.

A PSNI spokesperson confirmed the suspect remains in custody as enquiries continue. The public has been urged to report any information about drug activity to police on 101.
