The Utility Regulator has awarded SONI a £520,000 financial incentive following an assessment of its performance during 2024/25.

The decision concludes the latest Evaluative Performance Framework (EPF) cycle, which forms part of the price control arrangements for 2020 to 2027. An independent panel of experts evaluated SONI’s achievements against its forward work plan and assigned a grading. The regulator accepted that grading.

The total incentive combines a forward work plan component, which was confirmed in February 2025, with the performance grading. The reward will be recovered through tariffs in 2026/27.

SONI published its annual performance report for the year in December 2025. The regulator then gathered written views from stakeholders and held a workshop in February 2025, where SONI presented its progress.

The regulator has written to SONI to confirm the decision and shared the letter with the EPF panel. All related documents are being made available in accessible formats including large print, Braille and audio.
