Three Men Arrested After Assault in Derry
Three men have been arrested following an assault in Derry on 15 June.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident on Lecky Road at around 11am. Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers arrested two men, aged 61 and 31, in the nearby Bishop Street area shortly afterwards on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. A third man, aged 33, was arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders. All three remain in custody.
Detective Inspector Hanbidge said videos of the incident have been circulating on social media and urged the public not to share them further. Sharing the footage could distress the victim and potentially harm criminal proceedings, he added.
