Portadown man jailed for theft of washing pods
A man from Portadown has been sentenced to four months in prison for stealing washing pods from a local shop.
Gerald Brampton-Wood, 40, of Garvaghy Park, took eight bags of Bold pods valued at £96 on 7 January.
He appeared via video link from prison at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
The court heard that Brampton-Wood has 151 previous convictions.
His defence lawyer stated that the theft was committed to fund an addiction.
The jail term was imposed immediately.
