Detectives from Lurgan arrested a man in connection with burglaries at two houses in Ballyoran Park, Portadown, on Friday, March 6. The operation involved PSNI Roads Policing Interceptors from Sprucefield and local police.

The burglaries took place shortly after 5am. A person entered one house through the front door but left without taking items after an occupant disturbed them.

Soon after, someone smashed the front window of a nearby house and took a handbag containing a purse.

Police received reports of an attempt to withdraw money using the stolen bank card at a Garvaghy Road shop around 5.40am.

Officers recovered a vehicle stolen during a burglary. The arrest relates to burglary, taking and driving away a vehicle, and multiple retail thefts committed using that vehicle.

Lurgan detectives continue to seek information from anyone in the Ballyoran Park or Garvaghy Road areas at the time, including CCTV, dash-cam, or doorbell footage.
