Proposal seeks to turn vacant Derry bank unit into café
A planning application has been submitted to convert a former bank unit at Derry’s Crescent Link Retail Park into a new café.
The unit, designated 20A, lies within the Waterside shopping complex and previously housed a First Trust Bank branch. It has since become vacant.
The proposal, lodged through planning consultancy TSA Planning on behalf of unnamed applicants, asks for permission to change the use from retail to café and restaurant.
A planning statement notes that the café would complement the existing retail offerings at the park. The unit sits next to an occupied Specsavers store.
If approved, the building’s exterior would remain unchanged. Internal works would reconfigure the space to suit its new role.
No details on the applicant or a timeline for a decision have been made public.
