Department Launches Search for USEL Board Members
The Department for Communities has opened a competition to appoint three new members to the board of Ulster Supported Employment Ltd (USEL). The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Monday 29 June 2026.
USEL supports disabled people and people with health conditions to gain skills, qualifications, and progress into employment. It works in partnership with Northern Ireland Executive departments to shape labour market policy, deliver employability programmes, and operates a social enterprise business model.
Board members will have a role in setting the organisation’s direction and supporting its work. The department said it is looking for individuals who are committed to disability equality and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to live a full and meaningful life.
Applications are welcome from all backgrounds. An application pack is available on the Department for Communities public appointments website, or by contacting the Public Appointments Unit. Section 5 of the candidate information booklet provides further detail for those working in the public sector.
