Omagh Volunteer Centre held an appreciation lunch at the Silverbirch Hotel this week.

The event brought together volunteers from local organisations and community groups.

Chairperson Monica Coyle told attendees that volunteers make an extraordinary difference to the lives of others.

She said their willingness to give time and share skills helps create connected communities.

Manager Martin Cassidy said volunteers are often the unsung heroes of communities.

He said the event provided an opportunity to recognise achievements and express gratitude for hours contributed throughout the year.

Local elected representatives and community leaders attended the lunch.
