Derry Man Charged With Assault and Strangulation
A 34-year-old man appeared in Derry Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, non-fatal strangulation, and threats to damage property.
Anthony McFeely, of Glenabbey Gardens in Derry, is accused of the offences on May 30.
Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley told the court the case involved a dispute between neighbours and that McFeely faced difficulty returning to the address.
A police officer indicated agreement to bail on the conditions that McFeely reside at an address approved by police and have no contact with anyone linked to the case.
The defendant is due to appear again on June 11.
