Body found in Castlewellan Forest Park during missing person search
Police attended the scene of a sudden death in Castlewellan Forest Park in the early hours of Friday 22 May.
The body was found during a search for a high-risk missing person involving officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland and volunteers from the Community Rescue Service.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Sinn Féin MLA Cathy Mason expressed shock and sadness over the incident and thanked emergency and rescue teams for their response.
She asked that the family and others affected by the loss be given privacy and respect.
The Community Rescue Service offered condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
