Councillor Oliver McMullan, Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, hosted Limavady United manager Paul Owens, coaching staff and players at council headquarters in Cloonavin.

The club secured promotion to the top league after an 18-year absence.

McMullan praised the team for its commitment and dedication in achieving the return.

The club has invested in a new state of the art pitch and other facilities at its ground.

McMullan wished the club success for the coming season.

Alderman Aaron Callan and East Londonderry MLA Alan Robinson attended the reception.

McMullan also held a reception for Limavady Rugby Club’s 1st XV after it gained promotion to Championship One.
