A man charged with murder appeared via video link at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Martin McCarney, 45, faces charges of murdering Ellie Flanagan, 23, who died in Enniskillen on 7 March.

He also faces a charge of possessing offensive weapons with intent to commit an offence, including three knives.

The court heard that legal aid has been granted to cover solicitor costs only.

Preparation of the case file remains ongoing.

A prosecutor requested an adjournment until 15 June to allow further progress on the investigation.

The defence noted that strategies are being pursued in the police investigation.
