The Bloody Sunday Trust has partnered with Training For Women Network and Glencree to deliver the Building Resilience and Advancing Violence-free Environments programme in Derry.

The BRAVE programme targets women to develop skills in leadership and community safety. Participants receive training in assertive leadership accredited at ILM Level 2.

One module covers causes of conflict, effects of paramilitarism and criminality, and restorative justice methods to encourage dialogue.

Another module addresses human rights, rule of law, civic responsibility, and organised crime, preparing participants to advocate for peaceful solutions.

Training includes raising awareness of violence against women and girls, along with available support services and methods to push for protections.

Sessions focus on trauma-informed care, stress management, and emotional resilience for leadership.

The programme concludes with co-design and delivery of community projects to apply learned skills.
