Derry Man Charged with Assault and Non-Fatal Strangulation
Gerard Mullen, aged 40 from Rock Mills in Derry, faces charges of assault and non-fatal strangulation. The alleged offences took place on April 26 and involved the same injured party.
The case came before Derry's Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. Police did not oppose bail.
Mullen received bail with conditions. He must live at a police-approved address and avoid all contact with the alleged injured party.
He cannot appear intoxicated in public. Additional rules bar him from the Strand Road area and illegal drugs.
Mullen must provide a urine sample for testing when requested by the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
He returns to Derry's Magistrate’s Court on May 21.
