Mohammed Ali, 43, of Woodburn Park in Derry, faces charges related to domestic abuse offences. The charges stem from incidents on April 24 and 25.

On April 24, police charged Ali with assault aggravated by domestic abuse. On April 25, charges included abusive behaviour, threats to kill, criminal damage, and possession of a knife with intent to threaten to kill. All charges carry the aggravation of domestic abuse.

Ali appeared at Derry Magistrate’s Court on Monday. Police agreed to grant bail with conditions. He must live at a police-approved address and have no contact with the alleged victim.

Further conditions prohibit him from entering Woodburn Park. He must follow a curfew and wear an electronic tag. His next court date is May 14.
