Police Service of Northern Ireland closed the A32 between Omagh and Dromore in both directions following a serious road traffic collision.

The closure affects the stretch from Drumlish Road to Clanabogan in Tyrone.

A police spokesperson confirmed diversions operate at the Omagh end of the road.

Diversions run via junctions of Drumlish Road, Capehill Road, Cavan Road, Tattysallagh Road and Aghadulla Road.

Motorists must use routes through Dromore, Drumquin or Fintona to continue journeys, the spokesperson stated.

Minor roads nearby face heavy congestion from diverted traffic.

Drivers should avoid the area to support emergency services and cut delays.

Extra journey time is needed, police advised.
