A serious road traffic collision on the Portadown Road in Armagh this morning has led to road closures and diversions across the area. Police said the incident occurred shortly after 8.30am.

The Killuney roundabout was closed, and there was no access to the Deansbridge roundabout. Police initially advised motorists of local diversions.

Further diversions were later put in place at College Hill/Mall east at the Courthouse, at Victoria Road for traffic heading towards Portadown, and at the Stonebridge roundabout for traffic heading towards Armagh.

Emergency services at the scene included the PSNI, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance NI.

Police urged drivers to avoid the area or seek an alternative route for their journey.
