Construction of a new £9 million Lidl store at Rushmere Shopping Centre in Craigavon has reached an advanced stage. The 26,673 square foot outlet sits adjacent to the shopping centre on the site of the former Sainsbury’s petrol station on Central Way.

The store will replace the existing smaller branch on Balteagh Road near Highfield and off the Northway. It includes 127 parking spaces and electric vehicle charging points. Access is available from Lakeview Road or Rushmere Shopping Centre, with exits onto Central Way.

No exact opening date has been set. The store is due to open this summer. Workers are progressing quickly toward completion.
