Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council will host Armed Forces Day 2026 on June 20 in Coleraine town centre. The event takes place from 10am to 4pm.

The council organises the day with the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force. A military parade starts at 11am in the town centre and arrives at Christie Park around noon.

A Drumhead Service occurs at the park. Interactive military displays and armoured vehicles appear there. Serving personnel meet visitors.

An RAF flypast includes the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Dakota. The RAF Falcons parachute display features free fall manoeuvres at speeds up to 120 mph. The 206 (Ulster) Battery Royal Artillery fires a nine-round Feu de Joie across the River Bann.

The Band, Bugles, Pipes and Drums of the Royal Irish Regiment performs a Beating Retreat at 4pm.

Deputy Mayor Alderman Richard Brown Stewart said the borough maintains a long connection with the Armed Forces. He expects visitors from across Northern Ireland.

Air Marshal Sean Reynolds said the RAF Falcons display offers engagement with people in Northern Ireland.

Veterans’ Champion Councillor Dawn Huggins said the event recognises serving personnel, veterans and their families.
