Osmond James Clail of Chichester Park East in Ballymena appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily injury to Ryan Moore on December 23.

Police responded to reports of an assault in the Drumtara area of Ballymena shortly after 10.30am that day. The incident involved two men in an altercation. Northern Ireland Ambulance Service personnel treated both at the scene before hospital transport.

A police officer stated she could connect Clail to the charge. The prosecutor noted substantial evidence in the case file. No background details emerged at the Thursday hearing.
