Matthew Allison, 42, from Glenarm Court in Ballymena, faces charges of possessing a crossbow as an offensive weapon with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and wounding Darren Moore with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The charges relate to an incident at Glenarm Court on August 8. Police received a report at 6.40pm.

Darren Moore, 55, received hospital treatment for injuries sustained in the incident.

Allison appeared via video link from prison at Ballymena Magistrates Court. The court committed his case to Antrim Crown Court for arraignment on March 25.

He remains remanded in custody.
