A 28-year-old man faces charges including two counts of arson, attempted criminal damage, and theft after a fire at a business premises in Antrim.

Police received a report of the shop ablaze in the Greystone Road area at 3.35am on Tuesday, April 14. Officers and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.

No injuries occurred, but the business sustained extensive damage. The incident is under investigation as arson.

The man is scheduled to appear at Limavady Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 15. The Public Prosecution Service will review the charges as standard procedure.
