60-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Ballymena Collision
Jim Wylie, a 60-year-old man from the Ballymena area, died in a two-vehicle collision on Monday, 13 April. The crash took place at the Crankill Road junction with Tullygrawley Road and involved a car and a motorcycle.
Police received a report of the incident at 10.25am. Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene with other emergency services. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Inspector Stewart from the Collision Investigation Unit provided details of the collision. The road closed briefly for examination and has since reopened.
Enquiries into the incident continue. Police request witnesses or individuals with digital footage to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 376 13/04/26.
Wylie's funeral is scheduled for 1pm on Friday, 17 April, at Clough Presbyterian Church.
