Ballyclare man dies in Doagh collision
A 26-year-old motorcyclist has died after a crash in Doagh, County Antrim.
Jamie Fleming, from Ballyclare, was riding a blue Yamaha motorcycle when it was involved in a collision with a blue Skoda Enyaq on the Ballymena Road at the junction with Deer Park Road. The incident occurred at around 1.40pm on Friday.
Police and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene, but Mr Fleming was pronounced dead.
The Ballymena Road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
Detective Inspector Stewart of the Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses. Anyone with dashcam footage or information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 827 of 17/07/26. Reports can also be submitted anonymously to Crimestoppers.
Mr Fleming's father, Alan, said the family was devastated by the loss and requested privacy. Ballyclare Secondary School, where Mr Fleming was a former pupil, said he would be fondly remembered.
