Two Men Arrested in Tyrone Drugs Raids with Suspected Class A and B Substances Seized
Police conducted searches in Newtownstewart, Killen and Castlederg in County Tyrone on April 8. The operation resulted in the arrest of two men on suspicion of drug-related offences. Both men were released on bail pending further enquiries.
Officers seized suspected Class A and Class B controlled drugs, cash, a suspected imitation firearm and electronic devices during the raids.
The Derg Neighbourhood Policing Team led the searches, with support from the Tactical Support Group, city neighbourhood teams and the Dog Unit including Police Dog Harry.
Sergeant Harkin of the Derg Neighbourhood Policing Team stated that police collaborate across the service to disrupt crime and remove drugs from streets. He said efforts to investigate and search properties linked to the drugs trade will continue to identify those involved.
