Trevor Robert Kelly, 39, from Duncastle Road in Newbuildings outside Derry, faces charges related to an incident on March 3.

Kelly is accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a guinea pig on that date.

He also faces four charges of assaulting a female during the same incident.

Prosecutors further charged him with causing criminal damage to a car on March 3.

The case appeared before a court, which adjourned proceedings until April 2.
