Derry City and Strabane District Council will switch some services to summer opening hours starting Monday, March 30.

Cemeteries owned by the council, including City, Ballyoan, Altnagelvin, and Strabane District sites, will open from 8am to 7.50pm daily, seven days a week.

The change aligns with clocks going forward this weekend.

Recycling centres will adopt summer times on the same date. Several locations gain longer weekday evenings, and others adjust Monday schedules.

The council urges residents to use local recycling centres, separate waste properly, and verify hours by site as they differ.

Extended access supports environmental goals and curbs illegal dumping.
