Kinallen Bridge in Co. Down Closed After Partial Collapse
The Department for Infrastructure closed the C0309 Skeagh Road in both directions northwest of Kinallen village in Co. Down. Engineers identified a partial collapse in the Kinallen Bridge structure after reports of damage.
The closure allows for full assessment of the bridge and planning of repair options. Local diversions operate via Diamond Road and Banbridge Road.
Engineers conduct detailed structural checks to measure damage extent. The Department prioritizes safety of road users over other considerations.
Motorists must follow signage and allow extra journey time. The Department regrets disruption caused by the closure.
