Dylan Hughes, a Year 11 pupil at Cookstown High School, will undertake a 12-hour continuous mountain bike ride in Davagh Forest on Tuesday, April 7. The event runs from 7am to 7pm.

Hughes organises the challenge in memory of his great granny, Eileen Henry. Funds raised support dementia care, research, and family assistance.

He has collected over £2,500 through an online fundraising page. Supporters may attend the Davagh Forest site to observe.

Hughes stated that dementia impacts many families, including his own, and motivates his effort despite the physical demands. He welcomes all contributions to aid those affected.

His mother, Karen Hughes, noted Dylan's passion for mountain biking and his commitment to increasing awareness following his great granny's death.
