The Dún Uladh Heritage Centre in partnership with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will launch a programme on shared musical traditions across the district.

The initiative runs from April 2026 to spring 2027 under the PEACEPLUS Programme Local Action Plan. It covers musical themes such as the showband and dance hall era, Irish country music, songs of home and community life, and Irish and Ulster-Scots traditional music.

Activities include dance classes, music workshops, singing groups, community performances, and special guest appearances. These free events will occur across the seven District Electoral Areas in the council area.

Local choirs, marching bands, music groups, dance groups, and individuals of all ages and abilities can participate.

The launch takes place on Thursday 26 March at 7pm at the Strule Arts Centre. St Eugene’s Brass and Reed Band from Omagh will perform music linked to the programme's themes. Refreshments will be available.
