Derry City and Strabane District Council will host a public drop-in consultation on Thursday, March 19, from 10am to 9pm at Sion Mills Community Association. The event targets the former Ballyfattan Pitch and surrounding lands in Sion Mills.

Council officers from the Green Infrastructure Team will meet residents and stakeholders to collect ideas for regenerating the disused site. The process aims to incorporate community input into potential development plans.

Mayor Councillor Ruairí McHugh urged locals to attend and share views on developing the space to meet community needs. He stressed the value of direct participation in creating a beneficial local area.

No booking is required. Residents may drop in at any time during the event hours.
