Belfast Drivers Face Traffic Disruptions from Two Parades on Saturday
Police in Northern Ireland have warned drivers of traffic disruptions in Belfast on Saturday, May 16. Two parades will move through the city centre and nearby areas.
The first parade, organised by the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, starts at Donegall Street at 12pm. It will travel along Royal Avenue, Castle Place, High Street, Victoria Street, Chichester Street, Wellington Place, College Square East, College Avenue, Castle Street, and Donegall Place. The route ends at Donegal Square East at 3pm.
The second parade, the March for Jesus, begins at Ormeau Park at 2pm. It proceeds along Ormeau Embankment, Ravenhill Road, Albertbridge Road, East Bridge Street, Cromac Street, Victoria Street, Chichester Street, Arthur Street, Cornmarket, High Street, Castle Place, Donegall Place, and Donegall Square North. It finishes at Belfast City Hall at 5pm.
A PSNI spokesman advised road users to seek alternative routes where possible or allow extra time for journeys.
