A road traffic collision took place this morning on Gosford Road near Markethill in County Armagh.

The incident occurred close to the Mullaghbrack Road junction. Emergency services attended the scene.

Police stated that delays are occurring in the area. Motorists received advice to use alternative routes if possible.

Ulster Unionist councillor Sam Nicholson noted the accident near the Hamiltonsbawn junction on the edge of Markethill. He urged drivers to avoid the area or proceed carefully and expressed support for those involved.
