North Ballymena Rangers FC took possession of Lamont Park Football Stadia on March 5 under a long-term lease agreement. The site, known locally as Smithfield, will serve as the club's permanent home ground.

Independent Councillor Lawrie Philpott attended the handover with North Antrim TUV MLA Timothy Gaston and club members. Philpott supported the club through months of meetings and discussions that led to the lease.

Philpott described the event as a key achievement for the club and local community after 18 months of effort. He credited collaboration among participants for the outcome.

Philpott thanked Gaston for his assistance in the process. The agreement allows the club to establish a stable base.

Club officials, players and supporters plan to develop the facilities at Lamont Park. They aim to expand the club's role in the local football community.
