Courts: Stalker faces Crown Court as career shoplifter jailed and care worker convicted
ANTRIM: A 41-year-old care home worker was convicted of assaulting a colleague during a shift and given a five-month suspended sentence, also being placed on the Sex Offenders Register for seven years.
BALLYMENA: A 59-year-old man with 164 previous convictions, described as a 'career criminal', was sentenced to four months in prison - to run consecutive to an existing sentence - for stealing £600 worth of candles from Menarys and £363 of cosmetics from a chemist in Antrim town.
BALLYMENA: A 66-year-old man on a mobility scooter is accused of stealing goods totalling £727, mostly alcohol, from a Sainsbury's supermarket on 15 separate days in November and December last year, with the case adjourned to March 26.

BELFAST: A Co Antrim author accused of stalking two women for more than five years had her two cases joined at Belfast Magistrates Court and is to be referred to the Crown Court, with the case adjourned to April 1 to fix a date for a preliminary enquiry.
CRAIGAVON: A 34-year-old Portadown woman was given a suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to supplying cocaine in Lurgan, assaulting police, and obstructing police, with the judge allowing her to continue working with the Probation Service.
NEWTOWNARDS: A 22-year-old man admitted being disorderly outside a Newtownards pub and resisting a police officer on January 10 this year, with the court told he had become involved in an incident after laughing at another person being refused entry.
