NIE Networks enacted a one-way road closure on Great Victoria Street in Belfast city centre. The restriction applies city-bound from the junction of Bruce Street to Grosvenor Road. It started at 6:30pm on Wednesday 4 March after third-party damage to an underground electricity cable.

Engineers from NIE Networks work around the clock on repairs. A diversion routes traffic via Bruce Street, Bedford Street, and Howard Street. The company apologised to commuters and residents for the disruption.

Motorists face delays in the city centre. They should allow extra time for journeys or use alternative routes. Updates appear on the Traffic Watch NI website.
