Detectives in Northern Ireland are seeking witnesses after masked men forced entry into a house in the Mount Pleasant area of Bushmills, Co Antrim. The incident occurred on Monday, March 2, around 9.30pm.

Armed suspects targeted a man inside the property. He escaped upstairs without injury, but the men ransacked that part of the home. A woman present suffered injuries when struck with a bat. She fled to the garden and received hospital treatment for non-serious wounds.

Both residents were left distressed. The intruders departed on foot. Police continue to investigate the motive and identities involved.
