Over 210 Attend Job Fair in Lurgan Organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council
A job fair at Lurgan Town Hall on Tuesday 24 February attracted over 210 attendees, including job seekers and employers. The event was organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s Labour Market Partnership in collaboration with the local Jobs and Benefits Office.
Employers present included Agnew Group, Avondale Foods, G4S, and Terex. Attendees met employers face to face, explored job opportunities, and accessed information on training and support schemes.
Lord Mayor Alderman Stephen Moutray attended the event. He described it as a tremendous success with strong turnout from employers and job seekers.
The Labour Market Partnership is funded by the Department for Communities. It develops targeted employment action plans for council areas to support people into work through local and regional collaboration.
The council plans further job fairs throughout the year. The next event is scheduled for Wednesday 27 May at Millennium Court in Portadown from 11am to 2pm. An Agri-Food Careers Fair is set for Tuesday 10 March 2026 from 10am to 2pm at Armagh City Hotel.
