Fermanagh's Cavanacarragh Hall seeks community stories for 2027 centenary
Plans are underway to mark the 100th anniversary of Cavanacarragh Hall in Fermanagh, a community venue that opened in 1927. The hall has served as a central location for local gatherings, events, and activities over the decades.
Organisers are collecting stories, photographs, and memories from individuals connected to the hall. Contributions related to concerts, dances, plays, quizzes, discos, parish nights, youth events, and other occasions are requested.
A spokesperson for Tempo Maguires GAA club, which uses the hall for events, highlighted its role in community life, including fundraisers, sports, and cultural activities. The club noted historical ties to local football teams such as Mountdrum and Cavanacross. Interested parties can contact Seán Murphy at 07727927000 to share material.
