Four sporting organisations have been nominated for the 2026 Aisling Award for Sporting Excellence. The award ceremony will take place at the Europa Hotel on Friday, November 27.

St Brigid's GAC of South Belfast is nominated after winning the Antrim Senior Football Championship for the first time in the club's history.

Crumlin Star is also shortlisted. The amateur football club won back-to-back Intermediate Cup titles at Windsor Park earlier this year. Following the wins, the club announced the departure of its long-serving head coach Paul Trainor.

Boxer Jamie Graham, aged 18, signed a professional contract and began his career with two victories. He overcame Argentinian Jose Exequiel Sanchez in his debut and then defeated English veteran Mark Butler in his second bout.

Fundraisers Shay McGinley and Ger McFadden raised almost £23,000 for Children with Cancer through events including a 15-day run from Cork to Cushendun across the island.

The award is sponsored by Sean Graham bookmakers. Brian Graham, representing the sponsors, said the company was proud to have supported the event for almost 30 years and looked forward to another successful evening.

The winner will succeed last year's recipient, St Mary's CBGS.
