Portrush beach races return with Ulster champion in quad field
Portrush's East Strand will host motorcycle and quad racing on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, with free admission for spectators.
The event, organised by Knock Motorcycle & Car Club, features Adult Solo and Adult Quad classes. Ulster Quad Champion Emma Wray is among the announced entrants, competing in the quad category alongside Expert and Club classes. Solo classes include Expert, Semi-Expert, Clubman, Veterans and Sports Solo.
Racing is scheduled to begin between noon and 1pm each day, subject to tide conditions. Each class will complete practice runs and four races per day, with individual races lasting five to seven laps.
Spectators can follow the competition through multiple races, with commentators providing details. Complimentary programmes will be available at the event.
The event is in its eighth year, and organisers are working on a new layout for 2026, though details have not been released. Ramore Restaurants is the title sponsor, with race support from HTM Motorcycles, Jet Products, Stephen Russell Motorcycles and Balloo Hire.
Knock Motorcycle & Car Club acknowledged the assistance of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council officers in organising and promoting the event.
