Funeral arrangements have been confirmed for Fr John Halton, a retired priest who served as Parish Priest of Tempo in County Fermanagh. Fr Halton died suddenly on Sunday morning, according to the Diocese of Clogher, which announced his death with sadness.

His remains will be received at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Tempo on Monday evening at 8pm. He will repose at the church on Tuesday, September 29, from 10am, with family members present throughout the day. Vigil prayers will take place at 7pm before the church closes at noon.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday at 12 noon, followed by burial in St Mary's Cemetery in Moynalty, County Meath, at 4pm the same day.

Fr Halton served as Parish Priest of Tempo before his retirement. The Diocese of Clogher remembered his service.
