A 53-year-old woman has been sent for trial at Craigavon Crown Court on two counts of causing grievous bodily harm by dangerous driving.

Samantha White, of Clonroot Road in Portadown, appeared before Craigavon Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The charges relate to an alleged incident on the Northway in Craigavon on November 30, 2021, in which a man and a woman were injured.

A prosecutor told the court there was a prima facie case to answer based on the papers.

District Judge Michael Ranaghan, who said he had not had a chance to read the papers, agreed with the prosecution submission after an agreement between the parties.

White declined to say anything in response to the charges or to submit anything in writing.

She was released on her own bail of £500 and ordered to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on November 10.
