Shantelle Gibson, 29, from Drumgor Heights in Craigavon, pleaded guilty to resisting police on June 19, 2023. The incident occurred around 1:50pm when police responded to a report in the area.

Officers found Gibson in the street outside her home, which showed signs of damage. She appeared affected by a substance and tried to leave the scene. Police restrained her, at which point she became aggressive and shouted at them while on the grass nearby.

District Judge Michael Ranaghan reviewed bodycam footage and accepted the amended charge of resisting police, originally listed as disorderly behaviour. Gibson's solicitor, Philip Reid, described the matter as minor. He noted she was under the influence and resisted only when police moved to detain her.

Reid added that Gibson faced challenges after her brother Nathan's murder several years prior. The judge fined her £250 plus a £15 offender levy.
