Sinn Féin has selected its three sitting MLAs to contest the Fermanagh and South Tyrone constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly election scheduled for May 6, 2027.

Jemma Dolan, Áine Murphy and Colm Gildernew were announced as candidates at an event held at Kinawley Community Centre on Wednesday. All three currently represent the constituency in the Assembly.

North Belfast MP John Finucane spoke at the selection event. He said the elections were an opportunity for voters to decide on the future direction of Northern Ireland and that the party's activists would work to return all three candidates.

Ms Dolan, who has been an MLA for 10 years, said she had stood up for workers, families and communities across the constituency and that it was an honour to run again.

Ms Murphy said she was deeply honoured to be selected and would continue to work to ensure the voices of local workers, families and rural communities are heard.

Mr Gildernew said people wanted strong public services in health, education and infrastructure, as well as good jobs and housing. He said Sinn Féin would lead the fight to secure those goals.

The party is aiming to retain its three Assembly seats in the constituency. Irish unity was a consistent theme in remarks made by the candidates.
