Police Appeal After Petrol Bomb Attack on South Belfast Home
Police are appealing for information following a petrol bomb attack on a house in south Belfast.
The incident happened in the Hatfield Street area shortly before 00:50 on Saturday 15 August.
Two masked men approached the property. One threw a petrol bomb at the front of the house, which ignited and damaged a window. The second threw another object that did not ignite.
The men then fled towards Balfour Avenue. Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service extinguished the fire. People inside the house were not injured.
Detective Sergeant Faulkner said enquiries are continuing and asked anyone with information to contact police quoting reference 79 15/08/26. People can also call Crimestoppers anonymously.
