Police Issue Warnings to Youths Trespassing at Former Ballymoney College Campus
Police in Ballymoney have issued formal warnings to a number of young people found trespassing inside a disused college building on the Coleraine Road.
The property, previously the Ballymoney campus of Northern Regional College, has been secured with fencing and boarded-up windows. The PSNI said anyone entering the site is trespassing and could be committing the offence of burglary.
While dealing with the young people, officers from the Ballymoney and Moyle Neighbourhood Policing Team seized an electric scooter that was being used on public roads and footpaths. Police reiterated that such scooters are illegal unless operated on private land.
The incident was disclosed on July 30 by the PSNI Causeway Coast and Glens district via social media. The force stated that officers had again been required to provide warnings at the location, indicating repeated trespassing at the vacant site.
