Nominations have opened for the Community Awards 2026, organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

The awards feature 11 categories: Age Friendly, Youth Champion, Innovation, Equality and Good Relations, Health and Wellbeing, Community Eco, Volunteer of the Year, Lifetime Achiever, Under 18 Youth Volunteer, Community Safety, and the Everyone. Everywhere. Everyday. Award.

The deadline for submissions is 12 noon on Friday 21 August 2026.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Seagoe Hotel in Portadown on Friday 16 October 2026.

The scheme is funded by The Executive Office District Councils Good Relations Programme.

Lord Mayor Councillor Mary O’Dowd stated that the awards provide an opportunity to thank those who support others and contribute to the borough’s community and voluntary sector.
