Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has announced a £175,000 carriageway resurfacing project for the B80 Tattymoyle Road near Fintona. The work is set to start on Monday, July 27, 2026.

The scheme will cover a 545-metre section between the junctions of Rahony Road and Moneygar Road. The route is a key link between Fintona and Tempo, used by residents, farmers, and commercial vehicles.

To allow the work to proceed safely, the Tattymoyle Road will be closed from Clabby Road to Ecclesville Road for the duration. A signed diversion will direct traffic via Clabby Road, the A4 Edfield Way at Fivemiletown, Murley Road, Ecclesville Road, and Kiln Street, before rejoining Tattymoyle Road. The same diversion operates in reverse.

The Department for Infrastructure said the project is expected to be largely complete by Saturday, August 1, subject to weather conditions. Traffic management measures have been designed to limit disruption, but drivers should anticipate delays and allow extra travel time. Local access will be maintained where possible.

Minister Kimmins described the investment as part of her commitment to improving the rural road network. She said such routes are essential for linking businesses and communities, and she thanked the public in advance for their patience during the works.

The department will provide updates if weather or other circumstances affect the schedule.
