The operation centred on a property in Rosapenna Parade. Neighbouring homes were evacuated while officers carried out a search, and the Ardoyne Community Centre was opened for residents who had to leave.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply, possessing a firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances, and possessing ammunition without a certificate.
He was later released on bail while police inquiries continue.
